What is Word Counter?

Word and sentence boundaries are estimates, so totals can differ from another editor, especially for abbreviations, punctuation, and languages with different spacing conventions.

Reading time uses an average of 200 words per minute, and speaking time uses 130 words per minute. These are planning estimates; your pace, pauses, and the complexity of the text will affect actual time.
What counts as a paragraph?
A paragraph is a non-empty block of text separated from another block by a blank line. A single line break within a block does not create a new paragraph.
Is my writing saved?
The tool processes text in your browser and does not save a history. Keep a separate copy of anything you want to retain before closing or refreshing the page.
